Happy Friday and Hook 'em Horns
Alumnus Malcolm Lauderdale, BBA '50, wrote to us to share a project he's been working on, and we thought the Longhorn faithful would like to see it as well.
"Ever since I graduated, I have had in the back of my mind to carve a model of the UT Tower. I was always going to do it 'tomorrow,'" Lauderdale said. "Finally, 60 years later I live in Sun City Arizona (retired) and joined the Sun City Carving club. After learning the basics, 'Tomorrow' arrived and one of my first major projects was The Tower."
Looks great, Malcolm! Thanks for sharing. And let's hope the real UT Tower shines burnt orange soon as McCombs student Kendal Carrillo and the rest of the Longhorn baseball team make a run for the College World Series this weekend. Hook 'em!
